When you discover what narcissism really is, you will also see that a narcissist is always in a loop, they keep repeating the same script and they know nothing different. If you look at the world, the matrix, you see that they also try to keep your life in a loop, but the difference is that you can break free. Since high school, it has been instilled in me that I have to work and earn my own income. The 9 to 5 mentality in particular was a persistent belief for me that has robbed me of much of my zest for life. Government slogans such as “a smart girl is prepared for her future” made matters worse.
The recurring loop in my life was that I started something for a few hours and within several months the hours were extended and the work piled up until I fell exhausted. I also had trouble saying no and setting boundaries. Then I came to a standstill, then I pulled myself together again and when I was recharged, the rat race started again. New job, new course, new volunteer work, always the same loop.
I broke away and now I enjoy my freedom without guilt, God and the universe provide me with everything I need. I wish I had realized sooner when my kids were little that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home mom and that raising children is already a wonderful task.
